§ V — The record

The terms, set in the
same type as the promise.

A free symptom check with nothing in front of it, a subscription at $4.99 a month with seven days free, and thirty days to change your mind. This sheet says that in the language a lawyer needs.

Who this is between

These terms govern your use of Second Spring, an Ardenholt program operated by Ruzylo Cloud, LLC ("we", "us"). Using Second Spring means you agree to them.

The service

Second Spring is software provided as-is. We work to keep it running and useful, but we offer no uptime guarantee and no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where the law requires one.

Not medical advice

Second Spring records what you enter and shows you the shape of it. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, it is not a medical device, and nothing it displays is a test result. It does not determine whether you are in perimenopause, when you will reach menopause, or whether any treatment is right for you. Your clinician does that; bring the record to them, and never set aside professional advice because of something the app or this site showed you.

The symptom check on this website is educational. It scores the signals you report and names which to watch — it does not diagnose anything, and a low score rules nothing out.

Some symptoms need care rather than tracking. See a clinician promptly for any bleeding after twelve consecutive months without a period, for soaking through a pad or tampon every hour, for bleeding after sex, or for a period running longer than ten days. If you may be having a medical emergency — including chest pain, breathlessness, or fainting — call 911 or your local emergency number now.

What you pay, and what that buys

The symptom check on this site is free, permanently, with no account and no card. The subscription is $4.99 a month, with seven days free for new subscribers first, and it buys the tracker, the live symptom model, and the summary and export tooling built on it.

There is one tier. There is no higher tier holding a better version of your own record, and the CSV export is not behind the subscription — you can take your data out whether you are paying or not.

  • The symptom check on this site: free, permanently, no account and no card.
  • The subscription: $4.99 a month.
  • Seven days free for new subscribers, then it renews until you stop it.
  • Export: always available, including after you cancel.
  • Thirty days, money back, no reasons needed.

The thirty-day guarantee

Thirty days, money back, on every platform, with no exceptions and no reasons asked. This is a term of the program, not a courtesy we may withdraw.

Bought from us: write to privacy@ruzylo.dev and the payment comes back. Bought through Apple: Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com under its own policy — and if Apple declines inside our thirty days, write to us and we make it right ourselves.

Your record is unaffected either way, because it was never anywhere but your device.

Auto-renewing subscription on the App Store

The iOS subscription is an auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple. The mechanics are Apple's and they are stated here in full rather than summarised.

  • Length and price: $4.99 per month, including seven days free for new subscribers, offered as an Apple ID introductory offer.
  • The free trial: nothing is charged during the seven days. Cancel before it ends — Settings, then your Apple ID, then Subscriptions — and nothing is charged at all.
  • Charging: payment is taken by your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the trial if it was not cancelled.
  • Renewal: it renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • The renewal charge: taken within the 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price disclosed when you subscribed.
  • Managing and cancelling: in Account Settings on the App Store. The current period cannot be cut short, but a cancelled subscription does not renew.
  • Refunds through Apple: requested at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple's policy — and see the thirty-day guarantee above if Apple declines inside our window.

Your record, and your responsibility for it

Your record lives on your device. Keep the device locked, keep your backups, and export when it matters to you — we hold no copy, so we cannot recover a record from a lost, wiped, or inaccessible phone. That is the direct cost of the arrangement that also means we cannot read it, sell it, or be made to produce it.

You do not need an account to use Second Spring. If you make one, it exists to prove what you are subscribed to — it does not hold your record. Keep your sign-in private, and tell us at privacy@ruzylo.dev if you believe it has been misused.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Second Spring to harm anyone.
  • Do not store data in it that you have no right to hold.
  • Do not break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law permits it.
  • Do not present its output as a clinical record, a diagnosis, or advice from us.

Ending it

You can stop using Second Spring whenever you like. Cancel the subscription in the App Store, export what you want, and delete the record on the device. Ask for deletion of anything we hold under the privacy sheet at any time. We may suspend access to website services if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken, with notice where that is feasible.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of Second Spring is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located there.

Changes

If we make a material change we will update this sheet and the effective date at its head, and write once to anyone on the register. Continuing to use Second Spring after a change means you accept it.
